I sing for joy!

I sing for joy!

For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts! Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand. —Psalm 92:4–6

We discover the unity of Scripture not in any theory but in the person of Jesus Christ, on whom the whole of Scripture converges and around whom it finds its shape. —Enzo Bianchi, Lectio Divina

Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father, you revealed your truth to Peter, and he spoke it. Moments later, he was rebuked for speaking his mind again. Lord, Peter was outspoken in his thoughts and opinions. Even though it cost him dearly at times, you could work with and correct his outspokenness. Too many times I am silent—hiding my thoughts or trying to figure out what the “right thing” is to say. Help me to stop hiding. Amen.
