Open My Heart

Open My Heart

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. —Luke 1:68

In her Revelations, Julian reminds us that we have to work at prayer. It begins with deliberate choice and it makes demands on our resolution as we proceed with it. Yet it will be our experience that as we grow in the grace of God, prayer becomes increasingly the natural desire of the heart. —Robert Llewelyn, Why Pray?

Prayer of the Day
Lord, your Word promises very clearly that if I ask and seek, I will (not may) find! Thank you, Jesus, that it is the longing of your heart to care for and provide for me, and that your gifts are boundless. Help me to ask and open my heart to receive today. Amen.
