Long List of 10 for the 2021 Paraclete Poetry Prize

Judges Laura Reece Hogan and Jon M. Sweeney have announced the “Long List of 10” finalists for the 2021 Paraclete Poetry Prize:

            Jeannine M. Pitas
            Kathleen Henderson Staudt 


“We had very tough decisions to make in order to winnow it down to this list,” said Sweeney. “Congratulations to each of the finalists!” 

At this stage poet Scott Cairns joins the judging panel. From this Long List of 10, two will be chosen as winners no later than September 1, 2021. First prize: $1,000 honorarium and book publication in 2022. Second prize: $250 honorarium and book publication in 2022 or 2023.
