Reviews

"In these prayers, a variety of relatable similes help kids imagine what God’s peace is like (e.g. a blanket, a whisper, a hug) and also encourage them to find peace and rest in the knowledge of God’s presence, love, and care. The illustrations feature sweet animal families, but they are high-quality; I love the extra hand-drawn details and deep, saturated colors. I can imagine many parents reading this book to comfort a child after waking from a nightmare or as a consistent part of their bedtime routines. The book also includes blank spaces in the end matter for a child’s name to be inscribed, making this a great choice for gifting." -- Lindsey Cornett, Managing Editor of Englewood Press

"As parents read God's Perfect Peace to their children, their bedtime routine will be greatly enriched with this precious nighttime blessing. Through calming lyrical words and endearing characters, the warmth of God's peace will wrap around little ones like a snuggly blanket. Another gem from beloved author Glenys Nellist." –Crystal Bowman, award-winning author of more than 100 books for children including Good Morning, God Loves You!

“I love to read this book to my little granddaughter—you’ll love it too because it features Glenys’s reassuring prose, charming illustrations and a comforting message that will send your little one off to sleep with a smile." —Lisa Tawn Bergren, bestselling author of the God Gave Us series

"From the moment I opened Glenys Nellist's newest book, God's Perfect Peace, I felt calm and safe myself. God's presence is described as a blanket, a whisper, a hug.The illustrations are as gentle and loving as the text, which is based on Scripture verses. The encouragement for parents to offer their own blessing to their child, with suggestions at the end of the book, make this a perfect way to wrap up a day." —Kathleen Long Bostrom, author of 40 books that have sold 2 million copies including What about Heaven? and God Loves You in the “Little Blessings” series
