Feast of Justin, Martyr

Feast of Justin, Martyr

You have freed me from my chains. I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord. —Psalm 116:16b–17

The capacity to let go is a great art because it allows us to let things simply be as they are. When we live into this truth, we come to realize that we don’t have to accomplish everything that needs to be done. The responsibility for the world is not mine, and it is not necessary for me to be able to explain everything. —Notker Wolf, Faith Can Give Us Wings

Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father, help me not question your authority, like the Scribes and Pharisees did, but to love and obey you no matter what, like Justin Martyr did. “Set me aflame with love, Lord, true love for only you.”
