Eyes to See

Eyes to See

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to you, when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I; for you are my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. —Psalm 61:1–3

Prayer is the source of gentleness and the manager of anger. It is a remedy for grief and depression. —(Abba Nilus) Bernard Bangley, ed., A Little Daily Wisdom

Prayer of the Day
Dearest Savior, there are times in my life when I am so intent on doing things my way that I fail to see your hand at work in my life. At those times, I am actively rebelling against you, and may be unaware that I'm doing so. Jesus, give me eyes to see and a heart that is turned to you. Amen.
