Pentecost
I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. —Psalm 118:17
It is the tangible absence of the Savior and all his gifts that attracts the Holy Spirit. Therefore, come, Holy Spirit. You cannot find anything more barren, more stripped, more lacking, more abandoned, more feeble than my heart. —François Fénelon, The Complete Fénelon
Prayer of the Day for Eucharist
Thank you, Jesus, on this Day of Pentecost, for sending the Holy Spirit of Truth to live within me, so that I may know the freedom of living in your truth. Help me to love the truth and to always speak the truth. Amen.
