Winners of the 2021 Paraclete Poetry Prize

After several months reading and discussing 68 outstanding entries, judges Laura Reece Hogan, Scott Cairns, and Jon M. Sweeney are pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Paraclete Poetry Prize.   

 

First Prize is awarded jointly to:

Angela Alaimo O’Donnell of Bronxville, NY for her manuscript, Holy Land 

Amy Nemecek of Wyoming, MI for her manuscript, The Language of the Birds and Other Poems 

 

Second Prize winner is Jeannine M. Pitas of Dubuque, IA for her manuscript, Or/And 

 

All three winners will be published by Paraclete Poetry. First prize: $1,000 honorarium and book publication in 2022. Second prize: $250 honorarium and book publication in 2022 or 2023.
