Active Prayer
Explore new, creative ways to pray.
"Readers of all ages, experience, and religions will find this a fresh, invigorating and even exhilarating way to spend time with themselves and their Creator.”
—Publisher’s Weekly, Starred Review
In 2007, Sybil MacBeth presented her long-time practice of "prayer doodling" to the world in her book, Praying in Color. A spark was lit.
Since then, thousands of people have discovered her liberating approach to prayer in the moments when we just can't find the words, or when we are too overwhelmed or distracted to sit still and pray. Other "active prayer" practices have followed, such as knitting, beading, and crafting.
