Emmy award-winning debut novelist John Gray's 'Manchester Christmas' optioned by filmmaker Brian Herzlinger

Two weeks after announcing the acquisition of the novel, Manchester Christmas, by John Gray, scheduled to publish worldwide on December 20, Paraclete Press announces today the optioning of movie and television rights to filmmaker Brian Herzlinger.

Herzlinger is perhaps best known for directing Christmas Angel (2012), starring Della Reese; My Date with Drew (2004), starring DrewBarrymore; Finding Normal (2013), starring Candace Cameron; Love’s Last Resort (2016), a romantic comedy starring Alan Thicke; and Runaway Romance (2017), starring Tatum O’Neal.

John Gray is a popular media personality in the Capital Region of New York. An anchor and reporter for more than 25 years, he is seen weekdays on WTEN News10ABC and FOX23. He has earned numerous honors for his television work and writing, including recently winning a prestigious Emmy Award. He has been awarded “Columnist of the Year” honors from both the Associated Press and New York News Publishers Association.
