The simplicity of children
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10
My soul, if you have anything to say today, do not say it to me.
I cannot be of much help to you.
But I know who can be.
Tell him everything. —Martin Shannon cj, According to Your Mercy
Prayer of the Day
Jesus, your care and desire to protect children, is a great encouragement—also a major course corrector! It is so easy to be swayed by a culture that respects the rich and strong and sophisticated. But you value purity of heart—the simplicity of children. Help me to become more like a child, to enter more quickly into relationship with you. Amen.
